About The Organisation: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) emerged as a joint venture in 1965 among the Government of India, AMOCO and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). Now Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) holds majority stake in it and thus it forms a part of IOC group. It’s two refineries are at Cauvery basin at Nagapattinam and Chennai. It works in the field of LPG, Motor Spirit, Superior Kerosone, Aviation turbine fuel, High speed diesel etc.
The Company is looking for Indian nationals to serve as Technicians(Mechanical Stream).

No. Of Posts: 7 (UR-4, OBC- 2, SC-1)
Educational Background: First division Diploma in Mechanical Engg.(SC candidates -55%)
Age Limit: 30 years (as on 31.10.2010). For SC candidates it is relaxed upto 5 years while in case of OBC candidates it is 3 years.
Experience Status: 2 years in maintenance of Mechanical equipments, preferably in rotating equipments.Freshers can also apply. The date of determining experience is 31.10.2010.
Pay Structure: Freshers and candidates having less than 2 years experience will get `9,000 in training. Then they will be placed in the pay scale of `5,800-`11,100.
Candidates having relevant experience will be directly placed in the pay band of `5,800-`11,100.
Selection Procedure: The selection will be done by a written test followed by an interview.
