Indian Navy Recruits BE/B.Tech Graduates as Short Service Commissioned Officer in Technical [Engg. (E) & Electrical (L)] branches

About Short Service Commission: It is granted for 10 years and can be expanded to 14 years depending on service requirement, the candidates performance and willingness.
Job Details:
The Indian Navy is looking for unmarried candidates who have completed their engineering to be part of it as SSC Officers in different technical branches:
Branch/Cadre: Technical Branch (General Service)
Academic Qualification:
a. Engineering (E) branch
BE/B.Tech(Mechanical/Marine/Automotive/Mechtronics/ Industrial & Production/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Control) with at least 60% marks from a recognised university.
b. Electrical (L) branch
BE/B.Tech(Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/ Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Instrumentation/ ECE/ Power Engg./ Control System Engg./ Power Electronics/ CSE) with at least 60% marks from a recognised university.
Age Band: 19 ½ to 25 Years. This means that the candidate should be born between 2nd July 1986 and 1st January 1992 (both dates are inclusive).
Branch/Cadre: Submarine Cadre
Academic Qualification:
a. Engineering branch
BE/B.Tech(Mechanical) with at least 60% marks from a recognised university.
b. Electrical branch
BE/B.Tech(Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Control) with at least 60% marks from a recognised university.
Age Band: 19 ½ to 25 Years. This means that the candidate should be born between 2nd July 1986 and 1st January 1992 (both dates are inclusive).
Branch/Cadre: Naval Architecture Cadre
Academic Qualification: BE/B.Tech(Mechanical/Civil/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Metallurgy/ Naval Architecture) with at least 60% marks from a recognised university.
Age Band: 21 to 25 Years. This means that the candidate should be born between 2nd July 1986 and 1st January 1990 (both dates are inclusive).
Note: Women candidates can apply only for Naval Architecture Cadre. Final year students are not eligible.
Physical Standard:
Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses for Tech (GS) Branch & Submarine Cadre and 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6,6/12 with glasses for the Naval Architecture Cadre. Colour Blind candidates need not apply.
Height and Weight: Minimum acceptable height is 157 cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.
