About Short Service Commission: It is granted for 10 years and can be expanded to 14 years depending on service requirement, the candidates performance and willingness.

Job Details:
The Indian Navy is looking for unmarried male candidates to become a part of the organisation as Pilots (Short Service Commissioned Officer in of Executive Branch of Indian Navy):

Eligibility Criteria:
Academic Qualification: Graduate from any discipline with min. 65% aggregate marks. The candidate should have studied Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
Age Band: 19 to 23 Years. This means that the candidate should be born between 2nd July 1988 and 1st July 1992 (both dates are inclusive). 
Physical Standard:
Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Colour Blind candidates need not apply.
Height and Weight: Minimum acceptable height is 162.5 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length.

Eligible and interested candidates who wish to join the defence sector can apply through an application form made in the prescribed format. The application completed in all respects should be enclosed in an envelope superscribed as –“Application for SSC Pilots – Jul 2011 Course, Qualification........................... Percentage................% “and sent by ordinary post only to the following address:

Note: The application must be send with attested copies of certificates for verification of date of birth and educational qualifications. Applicants who have failed earlier in PABT test need not apply.
