About SSC: Staff Selection Commission is a part of Government of India whose function is to recruit candidates on behalf of Government of India for Group C(non-technical) & Group B(non-gazetted-both technical & non-technical) in departments of Government of India.

Job Details:
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) need to fill the following vacancies on all India basis in its various Central Police Organisations:

Post: Sub- Inspector (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted in SSB and BSF and Group ‘C’ in CISF, ITBP and CRPF)
Number of Vacancies: 2275 (CRPF-692/BSF-557/CISF-500/ITBP-82/SSB-444)
Age Band: 20-25 Years (on the date 2nd November 2010). Relaxations do apply, Please refer detailed advertisement for details.
Pay Scale: Rs 9,300-34,800 Grade pay 4200
Education: Graduate from a recognised University.

Post: Assistant Sub- Inspector in CPOs (Group ‘C’)
Pay Scale: Rs 5,200-20,200 Grade pay 2800
Number of Vacancies: The vacancies in this cadre will be considered before written examination if reported by the CPO.
  
Application Procedure:
Application Fee : Rs 100/- is to be paid in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) for offline mode application and  SBI Challan or on-line payment through account with the State Bank of  India for application made online. SC/ ST/EXSM/Female are exempted from fee.
 Offline Application:
Eligible Candidates can apply in the prescribed format as mentioned on the website and can send their applications completed in all respects with CRFS stamp pasted and cancelled at the post office in an envelope to the concerned Regional Office/ Sub Regional Offices of the Commission the list of which is given in the detailed advertisement. According to the centre of examination chosen by the candidate the application is to be sent to that Regional/ Sub Regional office.

After paying the fee through SBI Challan or SBI net banking, the candidates can apply online through the organisation’s website: http://ssconline.nic.in/

Last date to Apply: 2nd November 2010 and 9th November 2010 for candidates residing in far flung areas.
Written Test Date: 12th December 2010
