About Central Railway: Central Railway (CR), one of the largest Indian Railways, was established on November 5, 1951. The railway was formed by combining many government-owned railways that include the Great Indian Peninsula Railway, the Dholpur Railways, and the Scindia State Railway. The CR has its headquarters in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at Mumbai. CR covers major portions of Maharashtra and few regions of North-Eastern Karnataka and Southern Madhya Pradesh.

Central Railway recruitment cell invites application from eligible candidates to fill the following posts:
Post Names: Trackman/Porters/Hamal/Khalasis/Safaiwalas/Assistant Pointsman
Age limits (01.01.2011): 18-33 years
Qualifications: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent
Scale pay: Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200/-plus grade pay of Rs.1800/-
Note: Reservation is applicable as per Govt. rules.
Application procedure:
Application fee: Rs.40/-(No fee for SC/ST,PWD (PH),Women,Minority Communities and Economically Background Classes) in the form of Crossed Demand Draft from SBI or any Nationalized Bank or Crossed Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favour of “Assistant Personnel Officer , Railway Recruitment Cell, Central Railway, Mumbai” payable at Kolkata.
Candidates should write their name and address on the back of Bank Draft/Pay Order/IPO.
The application should be made in the format specified only. The application should be write by the candidate himself/herself by black pen only (ball point or gel). The photograph pasted should be a color one. The completed application form along with the attested document copies and draft/IPO should be enclosed in an envelope. The envelope should be superscribed with “Application for Recruitment to the posts in Pay Band-I + GP Rs.1800/- ”.

Enclosures required:
Candidates should enclose self-attested photocopies of the relevant certificates as mentioned below. Original certificates should not be enclosed.
1. Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order towards the examination fee, wherever applicable.
2. Certificates in proof of the Date of Birth. Only 10th class or school leaving certificate will be accepted.
3. Certificates in proof of educational/technical qualifications.
4. Community certificates for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities.
5. Physical Disability Certificate for candidates applying for quota reserved for them.
6. Income certificate for economically backward class candidates availing fee concession.
7. Self-declaration for candidates belonging to minority communities availing fee concession.
8. For Ex-Servicemen, discharge card/certificate. & Army Class –I certificate or equivalent in support of Military Service/Educational Qualification.
