About the Board: Tobacco Board was established under an Act of Parliament in the year 1975 (brought to effect from 1.1.1976) by the Government of India. Its headquarters is at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The aim of the Government setting the board was to bring about an all-round development to the tobacco industry. The Tobacco Board of India has the ISO 9001:2008 Certification in its kitty.

The Tobacco Board invites application from eligible qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies on temporary basis but are likely to become permanent:
Post Name: Field Officer
Educational Qualification: BSc(Agriculture)
Salary Scale: PB2 Rs 9300-34800 plus GP 4200
Maximum Age: 30 years as on 31.12.2010. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates respectively.
Selection Procedure: The selection will be done on the basis of a Written Test and an Interview.

Application Fee: Rs 200/- is to be paid by candidates( SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee) through a demand draft in favour of “Secretary, Tobacco Board,Guntur ” .
Application is to be made on an A4 size paper with details of Bio-data giving Name, Father’s name, Age, Caste, Category to which applied i.e. SC/ST/OBC/UR post Permanent Address, Address for Correspondence, Educational Qualification and Experience, Employment Registration Number etc The completed application form along with demand draft and copies of supporting documents should be enclosed in an envelope.
