About the Commission: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission was constituted on 1.04. 1937 and has its headquarters at Allahabad. The function of the commission includes recruitment of candidates, promotions, disciplinary actions, service rules and advice to the UP Government.

UPPSC invited application from Graduate candidates for the post of Additional Private Secretary (A.P.S) in U.P Secretariat at Allahabad.

Vacancies details: 
      1.   Special Recruitment

            No. of posts: 10 (SC-01, ST-09). These posts are reserved for UP candidates only.

      2.   General Recruitment
            No. of posts: 240 (UR-120, SC-50, ST-05, OBC-65). The reserved vacancies are for UP Candidates only.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age limits (01.07.2010): The candidate can be of 21 years but less than 35 years i.e candidate must have been born after 1st July 1989 and not before 2nd July 1976. Age relaxation is applicable.
Academic details:
(i) Candidate should be Graduate from any recognized university or equivalent.
(ii) Minimum speed of 80 w.p.m in Hindi shorthand and 25 w.p.m in Hindi Typing is essential.
(iii) Should be a computer literate as follows:
(A) Syllabus for CCC by DOC ACC society or
(B) course conducted by U.P Secondary Education Board or any syllabus recognized equivalent to that.
Pay Scale: PB-2 (Rs.9300-34800/-) with grade pay Rs.4600/-.

Application procedure:
Application fee: Rs.230/-(Rs.110/- for SC/ST of UP only). The candidates who are residing in U.P can deposit their fees in Treasuries of U.P through Treasury challan in favour of “Secretary, Public Service Commission, U.P.”, of which Treasury Head will be “0051-Public Service Commission 105-State Public Service Commission Fees,01-State Public Commission Examination Fees”. The fees can also be deposit in the form of Bank Draft. Fee submission through bank draft is the only option available for those candidates who are residing outside of U.P. The draft should be in favour of “Secretary, Public Service Commission, UP “payable at Allahabad.
Note: Candidates must write their name, address and Name of examination on the reverse side of Bank Draft. PH candidates are eligible for fee exemption in case they submit medical certificate.

The completed application form in the prescribed format along with required documents must reach the Commission’s office either by registered post or by hand. The commission’s address is given below:

Enclosures required(should be in the given order along with the application form):
1. Bank Draft/Treasury Challan of fees.
2. The certificates regarding SC of U.P, ST of U.P,OBC of U.P, PH of U.P. DFF of U.P, Ex-Army Personnel of U.P., and skilled player of U.P.
3. Photocopies of all certificates regarding all claims made in Application form.
4. High school certificate (for Date of Birth).
5. Candidates must paste recent passport size self attested photograph of the relevant column of application form.
