About The Organisation: Life Insurance Corporation of India is a Government Organisation which was set up on 1 September, 1956, with the aim of spreading life insurance to a broader area than it did at that time and in particular to the rural areas. The aim was to reach all insurable persons in the country, provide them with adequate financial cover at a reasonable cost. LIC functions with 2048 fully computerized branch offices, 109 divisional offices, 8 zonal offices, 992 satellite offices and the corporate office (old data).

The organisation is looking experienced candidates who are willing to work on contract basis for a 3 years period:

Post Name: Direct Sales Executives (DSE)
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree holder from a recognised University in India.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates having Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing / Management are desired. In addition the candidate should have good working knowledge of English plus a regional language (local language preferred). The candidates who have knowledge of Power Point/ Word/ Excel etc will be at an advantage.   
Age Limit: 21-35 years, both inclusive (as on 1.12.2010). Relaxations applicable.
Experience Status: 2 years of marketing experience not necessarily in insurance.
Salary: Monthly Salary which is purely performance based.

Application Procedure:  
Application Fee:  Rs 100/- is to be paid by candidates (SC/ST candidates are free to apply) in the form of a demand draft only in favour of “Life Corporation of India” payable at respective marketing units. The applicant must write one’s name and date of birth on the back side of demand draft.
Eligible and interested candidates can apply in the prescribed format filled in capital letters or typed. Then they can send the completely filled in application (signed) along with DD(if applicable) and attested copies of their documents to the concerned divisional office.
