About NER: North Eastern Railway (NER) was formed on 14th April 1952. It was divided into two Railway Zones in 1958 and was re-organized in 2002. NER now consists of three Divisions – Izatnagar, Lucknow and Varanasi. Basically, NER offer services to the areas of Western District of the state of Bihar, Uttarkhand and Uttar Pradesh. NER owns the pride of introducing the first computerized passenger reservation system on 1986. It provides reservation availability position information display, recorded coach guidance display system, electronic display systems at stations and interactive voice responsive system.

Application procedure:
Application fee: Rs.40/-(No fee for SC/ST,PWD (PH),Women, Minority Communities, Economically Background Classes and Ex-SM) in the form of Crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank or Indian Postal Order from any post office drawn in favour of “ Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC, North Eastern Railways” payable at Gorakhpur.
Candidates are advised to write their name and address on the backside of Bank Draft/Pay Order/IPO and enclose it on the top of the application form in original.
The application should be made in the format specified only. The application should be written by the candidates himself/herself by blue/black pen only (ball point or gel).The photograph pasted should be a colour one. The complete application form along with the attested documents copies and draft/IPO should be enclosed in an envelope. The envelope need to superscribed with “Application for Group ‘D’ posts- North Eastern Railway.”

Enclosures required:
Candidates should enclose self-attested photocopies of the relevant certificates as mentioned below. Original certificates should not be enclosed.
1. Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order towards the examination fee, wherever applicable.
2. Certificates in proof of the Date of Birth. Only 10th class or school leaving certificate will be accepted.
3. Certificates in proof of educational/technical qualifications.
4. Community certificates for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities.
5. Physical Disability Certificate for candidates applying for quota reserved for them.
6. Income certificate for economically backward class candidates availing fee concession.
7. Self-declaration for candidates belonging to minority communities availing fee concession.
8. For Ex-Servicemen, discharge card/certificate. & Army Class –I certificate or equivalent in support of Military Service/Educational Qualification.
