About the Mission: Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is an effort to universalize elementary education by community-ownership of the school system. It is a response to the demand for quality basic education all over the country. The SSA program is also an attempt to provide an opportunity for improving human capabilities to all children, through provision of community-owned quality education in a mission mode.

Details:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill the vacancies for the post of Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (IERT) on contract basis. The initial period of contract is of one year and then it will be renewed every year on the basis of performance:

Name of Post: Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (IERT)

Total no. of Vacancies: 293 (MR-63/HI-169/VI-61)

Age Criteria: 18- 40 years as on 1.11.2010. Both the ages are inclusive.

Pay Scale: Rs 10,000 p.m plus Rs 1,000 (fix) as Travelling Allowance

Educational Qualification: +2 class examination and must have a special education degree and/ or minimum 1 year full time diploma in Special Education from a recognized

Institution, in the education of:

a. Hearing impaired

b. Mentally challenged

c. Visually Impaired

Preferred: Experienced candidates and those who have a Graduate degree plus a B.Ed degree in special education or Diploma in special education.

Application Fee: Rs 250/-(Rs 125/- for SC candidates) is to be paid through a bank draft drawn in favour of “State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Authority, Punjab” payable at Chandigarh.

Application Procedure:

 Eligible and Interested candidates can apply through the specified format only. Two photographs need to be pasted on the application form. The other enclosures include attested copies of:

·         Date of Birth

·         Qualification

·         Residence

·         Matriculation with Punjabi and Domicile Certificate

·         Category etc.

Note: If there are not enough candidates who have done Matric in Punjabi then other candidates can be hired subject to condition.
