Indian Railways invites application from eligible Indian candidates to fill its vacancies of Technician in Grade II and Grade III. This is a special recruitment drive conducted by RRB for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates only. The total vacancies are across different RRBs. The details are given below:
For Person With Disabilities (PWD) Only
Post: Technician Gr.II/Signal
Pay Scale: Rs 5,200-Rs 20,200 plus Grade Pay Rs 2400/-
Age: 18-30 years. Relaxations are applicable.
Post: Technician Gr. III
Total No. of Vacancies: 482 across various trades and in different RRBs.
Pay Scale: Rs 5,200-Rs 20,200 plus Grade Pay Rs 1900/-
Age: 18-30 years. Relaxations are applicable
For SC/ST/OBC Candidates Only
Post: Technician Gr. III
Total No. of Vacancies: 675 across various trades and in different RRBs.
Pay Scale: Rs 5,200-Rs 20,200 plus Grade Pay Rs 1900/-

Application Fee: Rs 40/- for Technician Gr. III categories is to be paid by OBC Male candidates who do not come under minority/ economically backward communities. No fees for SC/ST/EXSM/Women/PWD/Minorities/Economically backward classes who have annual family income less than Rs 50,000/-. This fee is to be paid in the form of a crossed demand draft/ crossed Indian Postal Order. It should be in favour of “Assistant Secretary or secretary or Member Secretary or Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board’ of the concerned RRB where the candidates wishes to apply.
The applicants should mention Employment Notice no., Name of the post applied for, Category no. of post and their name and postal address at reverse of draft or in the space on IPO.
Application Procedure:
Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for the above mentioned posts in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from the website of the RRBs. The application form should completed in all respects and a photograph pasted on it. It should be accompanied by DD/IPO (as applicable), one extra passport size photograph with name of the candidate and category number applied on reverse and supporting documents(the list is given in detailed advertisement). All this should be enclosed in an envelope. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the Post/s of ___________Category No/s. _________ Employment Notice No._____________& Community (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-SM) ”. The address for sending the application will vary according to the candidate’s choice of post and should be sent to the concerned RRB.
Candidates can also apply online but that facility is available on certain RRBs viz. Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram. They can log on the websites of these RRBs if they wish to apply for posts under these RRB, get their registration done and send the print out of the application form along with necessary enclosures to the concerned RRBs before the last date.
