Applications are invited from interested candidates to apply for the following vacancies in the government department of Tamil Nadu:
Post Name: Special Assistant in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs 9,300-34,800 Grade pay 4400.
Service: Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service (Code No.050)
Educational Qualification: Graduate from any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission AND A pass in the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting both in English and Tamil by the Higher Grade.
Age (on 1.7.2010): 18-30 years. The candidate should have completed 18 years but should be below 30 years. Relaxations do apply.
Selection Procedure: The selection will be made on the basis of a written test followed by an interview. The date of written test is 20th February 2011.
Application Fee: Rs 112/-(Rs 100 examination fees + Rs 12 service charge to post office) is to be paid by candidates in selected post offices. Also, the candidates should collect postal receipt from the post office. This will be pasted in the application form.
Candidates applying online should make a payment of Rs 130/- (Rs 100 examination fees + Rs 30 application fee) in selected post offices and get the postal receipt from there.
Application Procedure:
Eligible Candidates can apply either through online or offline mode:
Offline Mode:
The application is to be made through OMR application forms which are available (with information brochure) in any Head Post Offices or selected sub-post offices in Tamil Nadu/Puducherry on payment of Rs 30/-. The application can also be obtained in person from the Sales Counter of the office of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission on all the working days till the closing date upto 5.00 p.m. The list of concerned post offices is given on Commission’s website. The postal slip should be pasted at appropriate place.
Online Mode:
Candidates can apply online through the commission’s website after paying the requisite fees and obtaining the postal slip. The candidates should fill the application form correctly and then take out the print out of the filled in application form. He/she should paste postal slip at required place, sign the form and paste photographs. The candidate should supercribe the envelope containing the application as “Online Application – Special Assistant in DVAC”.
