About The Organisation: National Physical Laboratory was established in the year 1947 and it is one of the oldest laboratories of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The organisation is looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and energetic candidates to fill the following vacancies of Scientists:
1. Post Name: Scientist Gr.IV (4)
Age Limit: 45 years (as on 13.12.2010). Relaxations are applicable.
Pay Structure: PB-4 (Rs 37,400-67,000) & Grade Pay Rs 8,700/-. This totals out to approx. Rs 85,465/- per month.
2. Post Name: Scientist Gr.IV (3)
No. Of Posts: 9 (UR-7/ST-2)
Age Limit: 40 years (as on 13.12.2010). Relaxations are applicable.
Pay Structure: PB-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100) & Grade Pay Rs 7,600/-. This totals out to approx. Rs 56,415/- per month.
3. Post Name: Scientist Gr.IV (2)
No. Of Posts: 15 (UR-5/SC-4/OBC-6)
Age Limit: 35 years (as on 13.12.2010). Relaxations are applicable.
Pay Structure: PB-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100) & Grade Pay Rs 6,600/-. This totals out to approx. Rs 49,153/- per month.
Note: The candidates applying for the above mentioned posts should ensure that they have a Ph.D qualification and Research and Development experience in the relevant area.

Application Fee: Rs 100/- is to be paid by candidates( SC/ST/PWDs/Women/ CSIR Employees/Abroad Candidates are free to apply) in the form of a demand draft (valid for 6 months) in favour of “Director, National Physical Laboratory” and payable at New Delhi. The applicant should write his/her name, category and post applied for on the back of the demand draft.
Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the organisation’s website only. The candidates should fill the application form with correct information only and after filling it up online should take out the print out of the system generated application form. They should also make note of application number generated after submitting the application. Each page of the system generated application form should be signed by the candidate as well as a photograph pasted at required place and signed across.
