Eligibility Criteria:

 Entry Type : Assistant Commandant (General Duty)

Academic Qualification: Graduate with 55% total marks from a recognised university and with Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.

Age Band: The candidate should be born between 1^st July 1986 and 30^th June 1990.

Scale of Pay: Rs 15,600-39,100 (Revised) with Grade Pay of Rs 5,400/-.

Entry Type : Assistant Commandant (General Duty-Pilot-Navigator)

Academic Qualification: BSc(Maths and Physics) with 55% total marks from a recognised university.

Age Band: The candidate should be born between 1^st July 1984 and 30^th June 1992.

Scale of Pay: Rs 15,600-39,100 (Revised) with Grade Pay of Rs 5,400/-.

Entry Type : Assistant Commandant (Commercial Pilot License)

Appointment type: Short Service Appointment in this case.

Academic Qualification:12^th or equivalent passed with 60% total marks and should have current Commercial Pilot License (CPL) on the date of selection.

Age Band: The candidate should be born between 1^st July 1984 and 30^th June 1992.

Scale of Pay: Rs 15,600-39,100 (Revised) with Grade Pay of Rs 5,400/-.

Entry Type : Assistant Commandant Technical Branch (Mechanical)

Academic Qualification: Minimum 55% total marks in BE/B.Tech(Naval Architecture Marine/ Mechanical/ Aeronautical/ Production Engg.) or equivalent qualification in any of the above discipline recognised by AICTE.

Age Band: The candidate should be born between 1^st July 1981 and 30^th June 1990.

Scale of Pay: Rs 15,600-39,100 (Revised) with Grade Pay of Rs 5,400/-.

Physical Standard:

Eye Sight:

• Asst. Commandant (GD) : 6/6 (Good eye) 6/9 (Bad eye) without glasses
• Asst. Commandant GD(P/N)/CPL Holders : 6/6 both eyes without glasses
• Asst. Commandant (Tech) : 6/12(Good eye) 6/36 (Bad eye) .

Height and Weight: Minimum acceptable height is 157 cms with correlated weight (age considered also. Weight above and below with limit 10% is acceptable). There is relaxation in height for certain group of candidates. Please refer detailed advertisement for that.

How to Apply:

Eligible and interested candidates who wish to join the defence sector should reach the venue for registration on 12^th and 13^th of November 2010. The registration will be done on both the days between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The candidates should be with the following when they reach the reporting venue:

• Two copies of pre-filled application as per format given below.
• Mark sheet and certificates of 10+2 examination.
• 10^th Certificate for verification of date of birth (original).
• Original certificate and mark sheets (all semesters and years) of BE/B Tech /Graduation as the case may be.
• Proof of identity such as passport, driving license, voter I card, college ID card or any other photo identity proof.
• `A’, `B’ `C’ certificate of NCC as applicable.
• Caste Certificate (if applicable) in original as  per Govt of India format.
• Character certificate.
• Ten recent colour passport size photographs.
• Current and Valid Commercial Pilot License (approved by DGCA) in original.
