• Mechanical Engg. (Excluding Production/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engg.)
• Metallurgical Engg.

Eligibility Conditions for the posts mentioned above:

Education Criteria: 65% aggregate marks (pass marks in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) in BE/ B.Tech in the above mentioned courses. The degree should have been obtained on a full time basis and from a recognised University/ institute

Maximum Age Admissible: 26 years for General category candidates. Age relaxations are applicable.

Pay Structure:

• For Candidates who get selected as Engineers/ Officers: They will get a Rs 24,900/- as basic salary plus other allowances as well. The CTC will be in the range of Rs 8.50 lakhs per annum.
• For Candidates who get selected as Graduate Apprentice Engineers: In the training period they will get fixed pay of Rs 20,000 per month. The training period will be of 1 year and after that they will be paid as Engineers/ Officers as mentioned above.

Application Procedure:  

Eligible and interested candidates who wish to be part of Indian Oil through this recruitment drive need to fill the GATE form . When they will get their admit card, they will have GATE registration number printed on it. Now they can apply online for Indian Oil as they have the GATE registration number with them. The link to apply online will be made available from 10^th January 2011 at the Careers link of Indian Oil website: www.iocl.com The candidates should fill the application form only after reading the instructions carefully. After they submit their filled in application form they will get a system generated unique application ID along with the completed application form. The candidates are advised to take out the print out of the application form, sign it and a paste a photograph (the same photograph which was pasted on GATE form) on it and keep it with themselves for future reference. If the candidate is selected he/she will have to bring this form.
