About the Institute: IIITD&M Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram is one of the centres of excellence in the field of Design and Manufacturing. It was established by Govt. of India in 2007.
Details:
The Institute as part of its research programme offers Ph.D courses in different disciplines. The candidates inducted in the course will get stipend.

Note: The candidates who possess BE/B.Tech Degree are also eligible provided they have an exceptional academic record according to the given conditions:
- A B.Tech Degree holder from IIT with a min. CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale and with a valid GATE score.
- A Bachelors Degree holder in Engg/Technology from any other university, also the candidate should be among the top 10 rank holders in the University an having a valid GATE score.
- A Bachelors Degree holder in Engg/Technology from a reputed R&D organisation with excellent research record.
Stipend:
- Ph.D Engg (Candidates with Masters Degree in Engg.): Rs 14,000/-p.m (for 1st two years) and Rs 15,000/-p.m (for next two years)
- Ph.D Engg (Candidates with BE/B.Tech Degrees): Rs 12,000/-p.m (for 1st two years) and Rs 14,000/-p.m (for next two years)
- Ph.D (Sciences): Rs 12,000/-p.m (for 1st two years) and Rs 14,000/-p.m (for next two years)

Application Procedure:
Application Fee: Rs 250/-(Rs125/- for SC/ST/PD/Female) is to be paid in the form of a demand draft. The draft should be drawn in favour of “IIITD&M,Kancheepuram” payable at Chennai.

The application completed in all respects with demand draft and necessary testimonials should be enclosed in an envelope.
